THE STRIPED SHIRT - LE FRENCH CHIC

Hey Guys, so another week has past and here is my first outfitpost from france! I wanted it to be typical french, so i chose a striped shirt. People say every french woman has a striped shirt in their closet. It is traditional, sophisticated and just the french chic. You can propably combine and wear it with everything and somehow you have that certain "je ne sais quoi". Just typical french and chic. J'adore! But i wanted it to be a little up to date so i picked a crop top. I paired it with this amazing jeans skirt, which i found at Pull & Bear! I am in love with this shop! In my hometown in Germany i do not have this shop, but i guess you're going to see a lot more pieces from there in my upcoming posts. :) I put my white beloved sneakers from Bershka on and my sunglasses by Vogue eyewear. This beauty of a clutch/bag was found at a fleamarket in germany. And another thing typically french thing - i did a bun. But i think somehow it is a rumor that every french woman is wearing a bun. I haven't seen that much just yet. But maybe it's a Paris thing?
Basicly what i wanted to give you guys is a giving you an everyday look with a little bit french. I love being here and the city is amazing and this outfit is perfect for shopping at the Rue Saint Ferréol or Rue Paradis, go sightseeing or just sitting in a coffeeshop. Go out there and get your little french on!

Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Also meine Lieben geht raus and get your little french going!

Bye Love, xxx

TRAVEL - MARSEILLE

1. MARSEILLE - HERE I COME

For you guys, who don't know where Marseille is located. It's in the south of France and it's the second biggest city of France. It is located by the sea but also has mountains. I am doing an exchange semester in this beautiful city and i will take you with me and show you some of the beautiful places they have around here. So stay posted about To-Do's, Must-See's and hidden places!

So we have a mediterrian climate here. Right now in the middle of september we still have around 75,2 °F. So you can still hop in the sea and relax at the beach. The wind here is called the Mistral. Someday it blows hard and then it's getting a little chilly but the sun is shining 300 days a year here.

2013 Marseille was the European Captial of Culture. This is quite an improvement, because in the past was quite known as a scary and shady city. When you hear something about Marseille it's content is mostly dangerous. Well my experience so far is, that of course there are some very very poor an dangerous parts of Marseille where you better not go, but you know this places and in the center it is quite safe. Marseille as mostly every city at the south cost is not that clean. Trash is lying on the street and there are a lot of homeless/drunk people. As in every major city you have to watch for your purse in crowded places but this is the same in Barcelona, London, New York. Otherwise i have experienced that people here are very helpful and nice. I mean, you should speak a bit french. At least manage to say hi and can you help me or can you speak english. The older people do not have a clou about english but most of the younger ones can understand you. If you make an effort, they will appreciate and gladly help you or at least they make an effort too. :)

But not that you think now, Marseille is horrible. NO ! Quite the contrary. It is beautiful with it's old houses and it's french charme. The sea is beautiful and the mountains - OMG! It has it's own charme. You have the Old City - the panier. Or the hip neighbourhood - the cours julien. You have the Old Port of Marseille with it's daily fish market and the New Port with it's total new fassade. You have beaches along the corniche and the calanques. I will tell you about everything in my next posts! So keep posted!

A few translations to show your effort:

Hello! - Bonjour!
How are you? - Ca va?
Do you speak english? - Parlez-vou anglais?
Where is ... ? - Ou es ...?
Thank you. - Merci.
Goodbye.

Man sollte schon etwas Französisch sprechen. Hallo, wie geht es Ihnen? Wo liegt das ? Sprechen Sie englisch?

Also bleibt gespannt!

Hallo! - Bonjour!
Wie geht's? - Ca va?
Sprechen Sie englisch? - Parlez-vous anglais?
Danke. - Merci.
Auf Wiedersehen. - Au revoir.

Bye, Loves! Comment for any suggestions! xx
