WRAPPED SKIRT / MIDISKIRT: TOP 5

Hi Loves,
long time no fashion post and since i am in Australia and we have over 27 degrees i just have new pictures of me in little tiny easy breezy dresses.
But in Germany it is winter and since most of my followers are german i decided to do a TOP 5 of my favorite WRAPPED SKIRTS / MIDISKIRTS for a reasonable price of money!

Two reasons: They are fashionable af at the moment and second they go perfect with tights, overknees and a big oversize sweater aka you are not freezing!

So with no longer further introduction:

My TOP 5 WRAPPED SKIRTS / MIDISKIRTS

1. Velvet wrapped skirt

i love velvet especially during christmas time! It is easy to combine and it makes everything look a bit more expensive!

2. Skirt with walking slit

A classic approach with a modern twist! It would go perfect with a white blouse but also with a turtle neck. Pair it with heels, ankle boots or high knees for a extra breeze of sexiness

3. Striped / Karo wrapped skirt

Those two skirts scream summer, but we live in a time where you push the boundries. The beauty of this season and hopefully the seasons to come after, you can break with old rules and do whatever you want! Put tights or a jeans under it, sweater and a long coat and you are fighting the cold in style!

J.Crew via zalandoshop here                                           Finery London via zalandoshop here

4. Floral print wrapped skirt

Once agian stereotypical summer, but imagine this: Put it out of his stereotype, dress in stockings or panties under it, wear an oversize knit, a fake fur jacket, a hat and boots and voila you are the perfect gypsy ready for winter in style! I'd wear a red, babyblue, white or black knit!

TOPSHOP Boutique via zalandoshop here

5. Leather wrapped skirt

This one is a bit more pricey but i just love leather! It is H&M and it is high quality and i just love the fit of it! Perfect how they styled it here, but i prefer mostly prefer with leather and all black look or paired with white and fake fur!

If you guys, have an awesome wrapped skirt or have seen one you really love, i'd love if you would share them with me! Sent me an E-Mail, comment, sent a link or a picture! Everything is appreciated!

AFTER GRADUATION - WHAT'S NEXT? NEW CHAPTER IN LIFE: BEING AN AU PAIR

Hey Loves,
it's been a while. You could say i was in summer break, but actually i was writing my bachelor thesis so i took a while off to finish that the best way possible. I mean finishing my bachelor thesis equals finishing my studies, so a big mark in my life.
But now it is done and what next?
I had it on my mind for a couple of months i guess, but it was a goal far ahead so i didn't take my thoughts really serious, but now that this part of my life is finished i really had the liberty to think how i would spent the rest of it.

Of course the first thought was i am going to be an adult and start working. But for the people who know me, they know i am not really ready for adulting just yet...

And with our economy at the moment and because i actually enjoy studying it was clear for me i want to do my master's degree, preferably abroad. I think about sweden or denmark. University is for free there and i like the fashion scene up there.

BUT there is a big but: My boyfriend and i spent the last years quite a huge time separated due to our semesters abroad, so we would like to do our masters together.
And because of the fact that he has to study another semester i had a gap i needed to fill.

Again the adult in myself (yes, there is one) said:

"Girl, you got your BA so work!"

But well i had this dream:
I was an au pair after my A-Levels in the US. Back then i was 19. And well, as all the 19-year-olds i though: "OMG, i am soo grown up, i can handle everything!"
Well as you can imagine, it wasn't like this. I had a complicated relationship at that time with a guy, who fucked me up pretty much during this time plus in the US you are only allowed to drink when you are 21. But try to tell that to someone, who is allowed to drink in their own country since the age of 16 and on top who thinks is soo grown up.
So pretty much i spent a magnitude of my time abroad being heart broken, angry and eager to try to pretend i am so grown up. And as you can imagine i couldn't fulfill the duty of being an au pair in the way i wished i did now.
Don't get me wrong, i had an amazing host family and i loved the kids dearly. I still sometimes dream of them and think a lot about them. It was such a great time, even though the previously mentioned things, so i really wanted to relive that again.

So i talked it through with my bf and researched online. And so the dream was born and finally coming to life. I'll be an au pair!

Some might say you are already 26, be an adult and get your shit together. And i totally get that opinion.
But on the other side, you are not forever young. You gotta do things, while you can! For me i see myself with 30 working and enjoying life, but right now i want to experience things which i can't later on. I don't want to say with 35, i wished i could have gone somewhere far, but didn't.
And the timing for me couldn't be better. I want to wait for my bf to finish his studies anyways. And wanted to be an Au Pair again. So why not use the gap until he is finished?
But everyone has to decide this for him/herself, what fits there situation and needs most. For me, this just was the one!

In the next post i will go into detail how i got the Au Pair job and what qualifications you need!

There are some other paths you could take after you finished your studies:

1. Obviously find a job and start working.

But my dear, you are working for the rest of your life. So live a little!

2. Continue with your master's degree.

Without a break. Sure, but you have to be really committed.

3. Doing an internship.

You can never have to many internships! This would have been my next choice. But to be honest, there was this thought in my head: "You got your degree, why work without getting fully paid.

4. Being an Au Pair.

Caring for children, being a big sister, free board and free accommodation plus pocket money - so a very cheap way to live abroad and not being alone.

5. Work & Travel.

A cool alternative, though nothing for me. Not because of the work, like i would be to picky, but just to unsafe for me.

6. Travel.

if you are rich - you are in luck!

7. Taking a practical year.

Working for social organisations like the Red Cross is a nobel way to spent a gap year. But you have to be very social and willing to work for not so much money.

8. Doing another bachelor's degree.

If you for example studied fashion management, but you want to do economics also.

9. Be a Trainee.

This is a special mostly one-year jobs, where you work for a company and get to have a look in different departments.

To finish, it doesn't matter what path you take, it should simply suit you. Remember you are still young and you have the freedom to choose. There are a lot of options for us these days. Maybe you'll do a mix or have another path? Whatever it is i am all about reading it in the comments!

72 HOURS IN BERLIN: WHAT TO DO & WHERE TO EAT IN BERLIN (TIPS & NOT SO MUCH MAINSTREAM STUFF) - BERLIN TRAVEL DIARY

In May I spent a couple of days with my boyfriend in the capital of my home country.
Berlin - well ich have to tell you guys, I wasn't a big fan of Berlin before and I have to confess I wouldn't want to live there forever. But I could imagine myself living there for a couple of years. To explain that - I come from the south of Germany and in Bavaria EVERYTHING is clean and ordered. You could say it is a bit conservative.
So being in Berlin, can be a challenge. You have corners where it is just dirty and the people don't care about the rules and sometimes in certain corners people are a bit scary.
BUT - Berlin has a certain charm and being the capital of Germany it is so diverse and so many beautiful things happen.
Here comes a full itinerary of my 72 hours in Berlin - what to do & where to eat.

WHAT TO DO IN BERLIN

This is not a typical sightseeing travel guide. Here you can find cool things to do in Berlin (yup, you're welcome.)

1. The flea market at the Berlin Wall

Every Sunday they host a beautiful flee market at the Berlin Wall. You can find everything from clothing to jewelry, bags, design and vinyl. There are also very yummy snacks ( read more at where to eat in Berlin.) I bought a beautiful Levi's jacket there and a vintage diesel high waist jeans. Definitely recommend to go there!

2. Berlin's Mauerpark

The Mauerpark is as you have guessed a park at the historical wall which once divided Berlin. As you walk through the park you hear all different types of music. People are just chilling around with a beer. At some parts of the wall you are allowed to paint so sometimes you see artists just working their magic. It is a very nice place to spent a chill day.

3. Karaoke at the Mauerpark

Guys this is my tip you definitely have to do when you are on a Sunday in Berlin and the weather is good. It is basically a dude with a bicycle, a computer, a microphone and boxes. People from all over the world come here and wait in line to sing. Some are very talented and some are just cool people who sing Backstreetboys or Britney Spears. At the end everyone is at the dance floor and just dancing like crazy. The atmosphere is great there. All kinds of people come together and you can chill there and buy a mojito or a beer. Perfect for a fun sunday. It is at the amphitheater in the Mauerpark. It starts around 2 pm. Check out some pics here.

4. The Airport Tempelhof

Airport Tempelhof is a shut down airport and now it is a park where you can do all sorts of sports. There is a section for air sports, like kite surfing and one for riding your bicycle or your roller blades. There is also a chilling are where you can get something to eat and drink. You can get there easily by underground tram.

5. CdV

Club der Visionäre is not a typical club in Berlin. But then again what is typical in Berlin. It is one of the prettiest open air bars/boats in Berlin at a little river. You have to love electro though, because that's all you get. During the afternoon it's mostly background but at night there is always a live DJ. Opening hours are
 Mo-Fr: 2 pm - open end
Sa-So: 12am - open end
You are not allowed to take pictures in there. They have a great pizza.
The address is:
Club der Visionäre
Am Flutgraben 1
12435 Berlin
Germany

The Bikini in Berlin is a really cool mall, with lots of concept stores where you can find very cool stuff. I love the whole mall. It is not your usual mall it is very modern. I love the vibe. The ODEEH Store is in there too. I did an internship with this brand. It is not the cheapest but looking doesn't hurt right? ;)

7. Kurfürstendamm

Some people say that the Kurfürstendamm is so mainstream Berlin and Berlin hates mainstream. It is a pretty street with shopping so far you can see. All the big brands are there.

8. Strolling around

Mostly i can just recommend you strolling through Berlin. I really liked the quarters Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte.

2. WHERE TO EAT IN BERLIN

In this Travel Diary we have been eating a lot I just want to share with you my most iconic experiences or the places I liked the most.

This is probably the cutest and pretties coffee in the Kreuzberg neighborhood (check it out here). I mean it has swings. And the coffee is sooo good. If you are ever in the Kreuzberg area make sure to check it out!
The address is:
Yorckstraße 60
10965 Berlin, Deutschland

2. Flea Market at the Mauerpark

There are so many great food stations at the flea market. We had the all vegan gyros wrap. And it was heaven in my mouth. And it was all vegan. It was under 5 Euros.

And if one isn't enough we had the pulled pork burger. I am a little bit spoiled by pulled pork because i worked at a catering company where we had pulled pork on weddings and I can tell you pulled pork is everything.

I looked this one up on the internet (here) and it was so worth it. In my hometown we do not have any acai bowl or anything like it. It was so yummy. But it is also very crowded at this food heaven. A definitely must eat ist the matcha cake. It is in Prenzlauer Berg and in the street are a couple of nice food locations.
The address is:
Weinbergsweg 23
10119 Berlin, Deutschland

4. Späti

This is a typical Berlin thing. You have them all over the city, basically at every corner a Späti. It is a little shop where you can buy drinks or little foods. They are open very late and on Sundays. That's where the Berliner gets his beer from. Try it and you'll love it.
I am more the Radler girl, wich is beer mixed with citrus lemonade. My tip is the Gösser!

Hope you liked my Berlin Travel Diary. Even though it just has been 72 hours!
Would love to hear Berlin Tips or your opinion in the comments!

See you soon, Berlin!

OUTFIT: MARGELISCH BACKPACK, FLORAL DRESS & ARMY JACKET

Hey Loves,
i am so fed up with the weather situation.
I bought this beautiful flower dress by asos a while ago and never got the chance to wear it because of the weather situation in Germany ( last week it was snowing).
That's why I just thought "what the hell ... I don't give a s*", put the dress on got my newest backpack by Margelisch and sat on a meadow.

I really love my new backpack.* It is handcrafted in India and made out of vegetable tanned, chrome free leather. I chose the color mud green because I wanted something different. It has a perfect size for school or work. Plus it matches the green in my floral dress, which was a lucky coincidence.

What do you guys think? Leave me a comment!

Hey meine Lieben,
